The Short Version
Big Guy Moving & Hauling moved The Shepherd’s Staff’s back to school supplies to a local church and brought their holiday supplies back, all for free. Aaron said yes the moment we asked, and his crew handled 100 totes, several containers of inventory and countless bags of coats with a 26 foot box truck.
The Whole Story
Why Did The Shepherd’s Staff Need a Moving Crew?
The Shepherd's Staff in Westminster reached out to us needing volunteers for a big one. Their back to school supplies had to go to a local church, and their holiday supplies had to come back to them.
Their plan was to haul 100 totes, several containers of inventory and countless bags of coats in whatever cars and trucks they could round up.
Why Did We Call Big Guy Moving & Hauling?
When Aaron from Big Guy Moving & Hauling joined the movement, he told us to call him anytime a local nonprofit needed help with a move. So we reached out to Aaron, and he wrote back right away.
“This is a no brainer for me. Absolutely, we’d be happy to help.”
He told The Shepherd’s Staff not to worry about rounding up cars and trucks. His crew had it covered.
How Did the Big Guy Crew Handle the Move?
His crew showed up with a 26 foot box truck and handled the whole move from start to finish without charging a thing! They took the back to school supplies over to the church, then brought the holiday supplies back to The Shepherd’s Staff.
Those guys had already put in a long day of work before they got there. You would never know it, because they kept smiling and joking until the very last bin came off that truck!
“We’re very grateful for the community. I mean, they take care of us, so take care of them right back.”
